Member Since 2018

Leon has been interested in the Common Goal movement since Juan Mata became the first player to take the pledge in 2017.

However, it was his international teammate and fellow Common Goal member William Troost-Ekong that put Leon in touch with the organization.

"Joining Common Goal gives me the opportunity to actively help and support people in their communities and open up doors to a better life."

Leon proudly supports Youth Empowerment and Development Initiative (YEDI) in Nigeria and his main ambition from his involvement with Common Goal is to improve the level of education in countries like Nigeria.

Leon recognizes above all that as a footballer and role model he enjoys a high-status in society but believes with that comes a duty to help those less fortunate around the world live a better life.
