sofie junge pedersen THE JUVENTUS MIDFIELDER‘S TRAVEL DIARY FROM HER THIRD HALF TRIP TO ZAMBIA hey everyone, Over the summer holidays, I wanted to use the break to visit a football for good organisation, which is how I ended up travelling with the third half to Lusaka, Zambia, and spending a week with Chiparamba Breakthrough Sports Academy (CBSA). The NGO tackles a lot of issues including AIDS prevention and education about female sexual & reproductive rights—something many girls here are com- pletely unaware that they have. I chose to find out more about CBSA because I heard that they approach youth development with a holistic view. They’ve come a long way as an organisation and even founded the Zambia Street Football Network (ZSFN) in 2006 to allow similar NGOs in the region to exchange ideas and collaborate.
